Preferred Drug List
Make sure you use the Preferred Drug List to avoid out-of-pocket costs for your medication. If you choose a non-preferred medication, you will have to pay the full difference between the preferred and non-preferred drugs. If your medication isn't preferred, talk to your doctor about switching to one that is.
If your doctor prescribes a drug in a category covered by the Benefit Fund, but you don't see it on the Preferred Drug List, just ask your doctor to prescribe any generic medication or a brand-name if there are no generics available. Remember, some drugs like cosmetics are not covered. Check your Summary Plan Description for details.
